Who we are

Boston Chimney Sweep provides chimney sweeping, inspection and repair services in Greater Boston, Massachusetts. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Boston Chimney Sweep. You can reach us through the booking form on this site.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us through the booking form on this site:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address, if you provide one (it is optional)
• The address or town of the property
• Whatever you write in the description field
• Any photographs you attach

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or third party trackers on this site. We do not use cookies. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as every web server does.

Why we collect it

To contact you about the inspection or work you asked us about, to quote it, and to carry it out. That is the only purpose. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it with marketing companies.

Who sees it

Form submissions are emailed to us and stored in our email account and in a log file on our web server. Our web host processes that data on our behalf. We do not transfer your information outside these parties.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within 24 months. Records connected to work we carried out are kept for as long as we need them for warranty, insurance and tax purposes.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request through the booking form on this site and we will action it. If you are a Massachusetts resident, you also have rights under state law regarding the security of your personal information, and we take reasonable steps to protect it.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted. Our submission log is stored outside the public web directory and is not reachable from the internet.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
